Have People Stopped Spending Completely?

In this rough economy, people have become more cautious about their spending habits, but when it comes to their pets, people haven’t thought twice about buying for them. People consider their pets as a family member and in hard economic times, family sticks together.
Vince Anginoli, owner of Mackie’s Parlour Pet Boutique in Arizona, has noticed a decline in sales and explains how people are buying things for their pets, but rather than spending $400 on a collar, they’ll spend $100.
In today’s economy, $100 is a lot of money and can be spent towards other needs such as food for the family. However, pet owners haven’t forgotten about their pets and aren’t afraid to make purchases when it comes to them.
