Big Apple Pet Supply, a well established e-commerce pet supply company, has announced the launch of their Give Back Program. The Big Apple Pet Supply Give Back Program allows the customer to donate 5% of their order directly to non-profit 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelters, rescue organizations, humane animal education programs and wildlife rehabilitation centers.
Steven Spitz, CEO of Big Apple Pet Supply says “During hard financial times non-profit animal organizations find themselves without funding. It is important more than ever to integrate business initiatives while at the same time doing good in the community.”
Big Apple Pet Supply has always supported animal welfare through their own 501 (c)(3) foundation called the Big Apple Animal Foundation. However, their new Give Back Program gets their customers involved in the donation process. Tina Spitz, COO of Big Apple Pet Supply says “With our new Give Back Program, everyone feels good knowing that 5% of a customers purchase will support and sustain a philanthropic spirit in the animal community.”
Organizations can become participants of the donation program by going to their program page ( http://www.bigappleherp.com/site/content/big_apple_cares.html ) and submitting the application.
